Beyond simple stock counts
For anything with a shelf life — skincare, injectables, food — a single stock number isn't enough. Wemu tracks lots: each delivery gets its own batch number, quantity, and expiry date.

How it works
- When stock arrives, record it as a lot with its batch/serial number and expiry.
- Sales draw from the earliest-expiring lot first (first-expired-first-out), automatically.
- The Stock page flags lots approaching expiry so you can discount or rotate them before they're waste.
Where you'll see it
- Stock page — per-branch levels, low-stock flags, expiring-soon list.
- Stock takes — count what's on the shelf and Wemu reconciles the difference per lot.
- Reports → Products — dead stock and reorder suggestions take lots into account.
💡 Tip: if you don't need batch tracking for an item, just don't record lots for it — plain stock counts keep working exactly as before.
