Why sub-categories
A big catalog gets unwieldy fast — "Hair" with forty services in it doesn't help anyone. Categories can now nest one level deep: Hair → Colour, Hair → Styling, Retail → Aftercare.

How to create one
- Open Settings → Categories and tap Add category.
- To make it a sub-category, pick a Parent category in the form.
- Save — the POS tiles, product filters, and your storefront menu all follow the same structure automatically.
Rules to know
- Nesting is one level deep by design — a sub-category can't have children of its own. If you feel you need three levels, that's usually a sign the top level is too broad.
- Products and services can be assigned to either a parent or a sub-category.
- Deleting a parent doesn't delete its products — they just lose that grouping.
💡 Tip: keep parents broad ("Hair", "Skin", "Retail") and let sub-categories carry the detail. Your storefront's category pills stay short, and the POS grid stays scannable.
