Request to purchase (restricted online retail)

Advertise brand-restricted products online without an open checkout

When brands won't allow a cart

Many professional skincare lines let clinics *advertise* products online but forbid open checkout. Request to purchase keeps those products on your storefront — working for you — while staying inside the brand's rules.

How it works

On the product form, under Sell Online, choose Request to purchase instead of *Buy online*. On your storefront the product looks the same, but instead of adding to a cart, the shopper leaves their name, email, phone and an optional message.

The enquiry lands in your Quotes pipeline as a draft quote with the product already on it:

  1. You get a notification the moment it arrives.
  2. Staff review the request — consult, advise, check suitability.
  3. Send the quote — the customer accepts online and pays by link.

Nothing is charged until you decide to send it, and the whole trail (enquiry → quote → invoice → payment) lives on the customer's record.

Where to set it

Per product — because rules differ between suppliers. Your open-sale retail keeps the normal cart; only the restricted lines switch to enquiry.

💡 Tip: repeated enquiries are deduplicated — a double-tap won't create two quotes.
