Repurchase reminders

Automatically email clients when their product should be running out

The quiet revenue leak

A client buys a serum, loves it, runs out in week eight — and buys the replacement at a chemist because nothing reminded them you sell it. Repurchase reminders close that gap.

How to set it up

On any retail product, set Repurchase reminder (days) — roughly how long one purchase lasts. That's it. The field itself is the switch: blank means no reminders, ever.

From then on, when a client's last purchase of that product is that many days old, Wemu emails them a friendly restock nudge with a link to your shop. It needs their email on the sale (POS sales attached to a customer, or online orders).

The guardrails

  • One reminder per purchase — buying again resets the clock, and nobody gets nagged twice.
  • Every send is logged on the client's activity timeline, so staff can see it.
  • Turn the whole feature off business-wide in notification settings if you'd rather not send them.

💡 Tip: set honest windows. A 30ml serum used daily lasts about 6–8 weeks — a reminder at day 50 feels helpful; day 21 feels like spam.
