Wemu POS

Kitchen Display, Floor & Manager views

Turn any device into a kitchen screen, floor tablet, or manager dashboard

One app, four views

Wemu POS isn't only a register. Every device you sign in can run one of four views, so the same app becomes exactly the screen each station needs:

  • Register (POS) — the full till: ring items, take payments, print receipts. This is the default.
  • Floor — a server tablet for tableside ordering. Shows your tables and lets staff open and add to tabs, with no cash register.
  • Kitchen Display (KDS) — a read-only order queue for the kitchen. New tickets appear the moment a sale is rung; staff tap to start and bump each one.
  • Manager — a live dashboard of the shift: revenue, order count, kitchen queue, active tables, top sellers, and a server leaderboard.

How to enable a view

Views are set per device, from the web dashboard — so the tablet in your kitchen shows the KDS while the one at the counter stays a register.

  1. On the web dashboard, go to Settings → Devices
  2. Find the device in the list and click Edit
  3. Under Role, pick POS, Floor, Kitchen Display, or Manager
  4. (Optional) Assign it to a branch
  5. Click Save

The device switches to its new view the next time it syncs — usually within a few seconds, or on the next app launch.

Let staff switch views on the fly

If a team member needs more than one view during a shift — a manager who also jumps on the floor, say — give them multiple allowed views instead of re-configuring the device:

  1. Go to Team, open the member, and set their allowed views (Register / Floor / Kitchen / Manager)
  2. When they sign in on the POS, a Switch view pill appears in the top bar
  3. Tapping it re-opens the view picker, so they can hop between screens without a manager re-roling the device

Good to know

  • Kitchen Display is read-only — it can't take payments, so it's safe to leave on an unattended kitchen screen.
  • Floor has no register — servers build tabs against tables; payment happens at a Register device when the table is settled.
  • Manager is best for owners and supervisors — it's reporting and oversight, not a till.
  • All four views share the same live data, so an order rung on a Register instantly appears on the Kitchen Display and in the Manager dashboard.
